Front and rear doors, 7 foot ceiling height, seperate electric meter, egress from sleeping area, and I think there is a sq footage requirement in that zoning.

The only thing I know is that I am not allowed to legally rent out my apartment because it doesn't meet the code for the city ceiling height.

If you do the management you can bump that up some.To give you an idea i bought a duplex over the summer, in emerson heights(not the greatest area,but not a total war zone either) that is a 3/1, older building(higher long term expenses) and I paid 59k(which i now believe to be too much)  i get rents of 600 per side. 1200 total.

What's your thoughts on purchasing a rental property in the River Heights, St.Boniface or St. 

I would suggest Fountain Square, Mapleton Fall Creek, Crown Hill, Irvington, Community Heights, Garfield Park.
