I haven't seen the full lending contract to see what all of the penalties are if you move out of the home without selling it.

I bought a property in IL few months ago which I sold it to another buyer on seller financing (AKA Contract for Deed).The seller is going through some sort of financial issues and is not able to make this months mortgage payment.

That would be a very good move, I'd also ask them to sign a new lease with you but you can't insist because you must honor their current contract.

And I wouldn't communicate with that attorney as you don't have a contract with the attorney, you have a contract with the tenant.

If he persists than say, you contracted these students to do it (which you should, and never be the person putting them up) and explain they got carried away.
