anyone can learn the basics of DIY as one acquires properties, however knowing how things are done and what is required to do these things prevents being taken advantage of by contractors. if you just want to learn how to fix things,  the internet can teach you to do practically anything.

I did, and still do, intend to move in but I've had some circumstances beyond my control prevent me from moving.

Hi @Dick Rosen,  we also were using QuickBooks and are just in the implementation stage with PW and very unhappy with custom service and are considering moving to Appfolio before investing more time and energy. 

This is a tactic I will implement in the future.  

We are willing to take risks, but they have to be calculated, and implement a process where we can make further calculated risks from what the previous process showed in results. 

My initial strategies I intend to implement is to find homes cheap by contacting owners of vacant homes and seeking turn key properties with positive cash flow.
