Real estate is a get rich slow kind of game, and it's not relaxing.

You may also find several of the "Rich Dad" books helpful.

@Joel Owens I agree, the guy I know w $600MM in property is borrowing some reckless amts. floating over LIBOR but again like you said, when you're that rich you can get away doing some reckless stuff.

I have also assisted various family members with working on their fixer-uppers.Currently, I am a stay-at-home mom, a blogger and a volunteer at a food pantry. 

He fought through it, opened his garage, and apparently does good business, but he had to spend some money on lawyer food to get there.

Get a 3 or 4 bedroom house with the same you're paying in rent right now, being owner not a renter, stop making a landlord rich.

I think expecting $200/unit extra sounds a bit rich.
