But the irony that a deadbeat trashed a house I paid cash for when I was her age, had other people living there, unauthorized dogs, and trashed everything including the yard and shed, then tells me I'm mean when she is still not out several days after she was supposed to be out after SHE gave her notice, and told me I should go to another country while she was standing in my house that her trailer trash lifestyle ruined.

If you're property is in a decent area you can also put a for rent sign in the yard but beware in questionable areas its an open invitation to get your copper pipes stolen.

Example, I just saw a property that was advertised as below market rents that appears to be located about 40 yards away from active railroad tracks....rents are lower than overall market probably to compensate for that factor & there may be only very limited potential to increase them.

While I have never sold a house next to power lines before, in previous homes where there has been a significant neighborhood issue (busy street, large school, junk yard, condemned house, etc), it seems to take between a 10% and 15% discount to get people to overlook the issues.

If all the recent sales have painted cabinets and not new ones, I would not buy new ones (unless you can't salvage them).
