(And the devil smokes crazy things) I believe the difference is the fact there’s no Federal nor Provincial law in place to “provide people the right” to have a pet or nor smoke inside a residence but ..... they just gave them the right to cultivate it.

Can explore a trust too, but depending on number of properties you have and size of this one, might not be the most cost-efficient solution. 

I just want to see if anyone in the community has had success with a solution that seems fair to both parties. 

Perhaps a simple LLC formed in the state you reside in at most until income allows you or even demands moving to the next level.
