It will probably cost me about $8,000 to get it rent ready.To my surprise, I called 2 title companies in the area and explained the deal and both of them said they could handle it, no problem.  

Certainly special challenges living in the same property as your tenants, and others that have done it could speak to those cahllenges, but if you want to get into real estate, you'll learn a lot more by managing it yourself.

I need advice on how to handle the situation, especially if you have experience with this in South Carolina.

Most challenging deal I've encountered due to having virtually NO records from seller; so please don't ask what the cap rate was!  

I spoke with the VA asset company that handles all properties and even the lady told me that they have only been managing the VA accounts for 4 years and they wouldn't have any record anyway.

Overall, it's a good program, however, there has been some challenges.

The ability to do this easily and securely is also important.Finally, controlling all these two-way systems from anywhere in the world with internet access or a cell phone signal is a given, but control of all from ONE app has been the latest challenge.

How do they handle maintenance calls?
