Cons: my grandfather hack jobbed most repairs. leaking roof, stoop and porch need redone, lower unit kitchen needs complete remodel, 4-5 coats of paint on all walls, reoccurring mold in 1 bedroom and same bedroom needs insulation, upstairs unit you can hear anything and everything, all doors are original that came with the home, also have 4-5 coats of paint on them. small cockroach pest problem (not severe YET), Bathroom needs remodel and sewage lines need repair.

Paid cash for the repairs, thought it would take 15k actual 20k3. technically subleased the property to another renter (1000/mo)4.

I dont have problems with drafts in the house or have any inefficient heating or cooling bills.I got a quote to repair all the siding and repaint everything for $7500.Does this increase the value of my house when I go to sell it?

It doesn't seem that much more complicated to build and with that you have a nice new building with minimum maintenance and repairs for the first 5-10 years.
