Any tips on speeding it up, or does it really take that long if you're in the courthouse?

yes, its called a sole proprietorship .. and you can deduct business expenses the same as you would a LLC .. most people start a LLC because their business grows and they might have a few employees or most people think that by starting a LLC it will orotect their personal assets but that is not true .. the best protection besides hiding them by establishing real estate trusts is forming a C-corp .. but i would suggest you hire a tax consultant before doing any of those things .. they should save you more than they should ever cost you .. good luck ...God Speed , 

If the custodian controls the funds, over time expenses and and transaction speed will not be as favorable as with checkbook control. 

I would like a touch screen display and high RAM is necessary for speed. 

I've not yet tried this, but I recently discovered the phone/tablet app versions will accept input from a bluetooth enabled laser measuring device, greatly speeding up the process of creating as-built drawings.

So many speculated speed bumps can be foreseen.

What is prompting you to speed up the depreciation?

Check with your lender they may have someone they prefer which will speed up the process.
