I am unsure of how to structure the partnership that's fair for both of us.

Hi All,Looking to form a partnership to complete a few deals within the coming year.

I am weary of an architect whom is a referral of the contractor as there may be a unspoken partnership and they mutually benefit from a higher project cost. 

Personally, I would want out of this partnership.

How can we structure this partnership so that I get payed back with in 1-3 years.

He already owns it in a different partnership and they need to liquidate it.

If you aren't interested in providing the information for investors/lenders to analyze, and you and your wife like the neighborhood, you might consider knocking on doors, dropping postcards, or visiting local coffee shops to see if there's interest in partnership. 

This is a partnership, and turnkey clients should value the partnership as well.
