I would call the "I buy houses" ads in your local paper, phonebook, and classifieds.

Remember, A&E has to sell ad space and that only works with popular shows so they have an incentive to "round" the numbers and time frames so it looks like they are making big dollars in weeks and not longer.

His family did a Estate sale, no ad in the paper,CL or anywhere else,that same day an agent from a 10 miles away WAS WALKING BY and solicit his service and got it listed.

I noticed a lot of "needs work" ads in the Waterbury area, tenants down there are probably rough on the units.

"adding value" and "finding deals" are two seperate things...somewhat.obviously, to find "deals" you need to find a property that is most likely, in need of repairs, either by you or by an assignee (wholesaling).but strictly "adding value" is a seperate category in and of itself.
