He specializes in Realtor transactions and was already working with other agents, so he was already trained in the systems that we use.

There are lots of passive funds that specialize in tax deferred investments.

Ultimately for that sized property it depends on where the management company specializes with their properties as to whether they can adequately care for it

You need to first hire some "qualified intermediary" (a company specializing in facilitating 1031 exchanges), and the sales proceeds will be held in escrow by that company.

I would also add that a real estate agent who specializes in that market could really help out as well if you need a little extra help deciding what level of finishes to use.

@Michael Lloyd A lot of times there are specific contractors that specialize in fire and flood rehab, just putting it out there as far as to what type of contractor to hire.
