Another important point for those looking to start out is this - you need the Nike mentality - JUST DO IT!

First I attempted to buy a certain small business based on my knowledge and work experience on transaction due diligence; I was focused n the cash flow, the rate of return, how many years before I could get my money back etc... it didn't work out.Long story short, after months and months of mental struggle, I filtered and filtered myself to seek out my real interest, something that would match my skillet, my financial goals and my personality.

So you're defeating yourself mentally and then questioning if even getting to the level you want to is realistic.  

I never immerse myself in anything so much that I become an expert but I reinforce my jack of all trades mentality. 

When it comes to your "Mentor" there are several people in your marketplace who have a "Pay It Forward" Mentality.
