I have been to many of the events as an invited guest or vendor on the finance side when a student wants to buy a rental etc.. they are actually pretty fun things to go to.. and like with all big guru events i think one out of ten will go off and do something with what they learn.. maybe less.. but thats the same with all real estate be it sales or those that pop on BP  there are 500k people on BP i seriously doubt 500k of them are active in real estate

I have always declined, although I wouldn't be averse to an invite from the Amazon Vine program.

If I invite them to see the place, the applications are at the premises  which covers all the questions in your post. 

I recently went to a meet up that was organized by an Out of State Investor in which they created an event in BP and invited all the types of people they hoped to connect with during their trip to Indy.

If you can touch any group of influencers in a cost effective way, it could benefit your business.One associate told me he was most successful when he called them on the phone, and he would invite the atty to lunch or whatever.  

I too have started working from home as the office atmosphere is really tiring.
