It's an easy way for a young person to start with little down, cash flowing quickly, and you can be financially independent within a decade or less.

I would say we are definitely financially independent - but real estate is a full time job for us.

Finding yourself an Independent Insurance Agent who not only has access to multiple carriers but has experience helping real estate investors is the key to not only keeping your insurance costs down but also making sure that you are properly covering off the exposures you have with your properties. and making sure that you understand the coverage that you do have. 

Most of them hire independent contractors to handle cleanings.

House-hacking is the BEST way to get started on your path towards financial independence.

Everyone has to make their own choice: working for someone else for 40 years, invest in the market with hopes to have enough at retirement, or take some risk, and with dedication and diligence achieve financial independence in half the time or less.

Eventually the corp will be able to independently buy properties.
