You would be permitted to have 0 setbacks for side and front yards which means you can construct a building or add an addition all the way to the property line, allowing for a wider, more desirable floor plan layout compared to long narrow residential units with a 20' wide exterior dimension as many residential buildings are throughout Chicago.

I'm an investor/realtor here in Des Moines and since I'm geographically close to Omaha, I've looked a bit over that area and I think there is a lot of opportunities.Now, if you are not convinced with the future of the market in Omaha, that is a WHOLE different conversation, but I think it is nieve to think that OOS investing in the cities you mentioned above would be significantly better thank investing in your back yard and the ease that would come with networking locally vs OOS.Just my two cents!
