- Can a new owner ask for a security deposit from existing residents if they didn't have to provide one to a previous landlord?

Note: If you purchase a property that has been struck-off to the State, fist check (ask) with them to determine if any existing liens/current certificate holders, etc. are there or if any prior tax liens, etc.. are still attached to the property.

If you are concerned about protection then you need to get an umbrella insurance policy to cover the homes and your existing insurance policy. 

There was an existing house on 5 acres and there was a shared driveway with the neighboring property but it was entirely on the neighbor's property.
