I always have to find or create a niche that I enjoy doing, while I'm doing it. 

This would be very targeted niche marketing focusing on one or two particular niches.

There are plenty of good developers out there that can reproduce the functionality, and my little niche would become very quickly saturated.

You knowing nothing about the niche doesn't make you a no value laborer.

Believe me, all you need to know is the laws, your market, and a simple how to  dot dot dot [enter your niche here].You are never ready, and I am STILL not ready.You just need to be confident , have an unhealthy ego, as long as you can keep it in check.. so I fail there miserably, go out, be you, be a force to be reckoned with.

She thinks it will do well.. but its all vacation stuff.. to me I see this as being vacation and then there is the business needs etc  or the niche J Martin carved out that allows him to travel the world like Indiana Jones..
