That choice (and the due diligence that went into it) is when you made the choice for how smoothly, or not smoothly, the process would go.

What would I need to do with that document to ensure a smooth process and no legal problems.

But if it is really stuck on you will have to sand it down and make it smooth like an eggshell finish.

I see that be the reason often and more times then not the investor ends up having larger issues in cost then if they just paid the manager a monthly fee and things run smoothly.
