Also sounds like if you pay cash you will not have any reserves and I highly recommend having some cash reserves for the unexpected and unforeseen costs.

Every now and then you can find grip strip flooring at the local Bargain Outlet and Lumber Liquidators...but you can't count on it.Lumber liquidators also carries a lot of peel and stick (full surface) vinyl plank flooring.
