I’m going to lend  to a few people I know with LLC ‘s  on some mortgages and receive interest , I am not putting myself out to public lending just some commercial loans as LLC single member pass through  , do I have to pay local taxes in Florida , I have no brick and mortar , no employees , just LLC in Florida and live in Texas , there is no work involved I just receive interest .

Tell them what the courts decided on.

@Sam TrightBesides the other comments above you also start really walking or crossing the fine line of selling securities when you start bundling up parts of a note and selling it to different people.

That's a first on the term.

I have sec 8 tenants and agree with a lot of what you say but bottom line sec 8 is awesome if your property is in a bad area where its hard to find tenants that pay otherwise, if its in a good are it is MUCH more profitible and less risk/headache to have market rate tenants.

Also, I call BS on virtually anyone claiming $100k gross in the Poconos unless it's some oddball 7br place on a great lake.
