Ive used some websites to find foreclosure info, but its always way out of date.

This website in addition to a few other outside resources has been a big help over the last few months and I have just recently decided to join so I could get more involved and hopefully get a few of my questions answered.

In the area that I am in most of the builders have spec homes and a list of homes 60-90 days out so you can still do some selections.

It really depends on how long the permitting process is going to take for what you plan to do.I have been involved with projects where the property didn't close until after all permits were obtained, the plans had already been sent out for bids and the contractor had been selected.
