My mind frame now has evolved from two years ago, and I now see the extra income as enabling greater security reserves, providing the ability to hire repair folks instead of DIY which saves personal time, and to improve the property more beyond the minimal.

I know when I did foreclosure rescue ( now basically illegal on the West Coast) I would sit with folks who were losing their home.. 

Alot of folks by years end are burnt out and well they take the holidays off..   

My main concern is that I would have to find local housekeeping and maintenance folks and coordinate cleanings/fixes between checkouts or if the guests have any concerns while they are there.

Most folks use home remedies (i.e., boiling water poured down the mound) or any one of the chemical treatments the big box stores have to deal with them.

If you will have issues with sand/rocks in folks shoes that kind of abrasive might/maybe/not sure be an issue with vinyl flooring.
