I know of a foreclosure locally where the previous owner stripped cabinets, bathroom fixtures, doors, copper pipe, electrical wiring, furnace, A/C, water heater, carpet, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and anything else he could.

I'd also recommend keeping to lighter-colored selections for the basement- you can assume it will already be darker, so lighter paint colors, lighter flooring, white cabinets, lighter counters, lighter backsplash, etc., will make it seem so much more luxurious and less like a basement.Best of luck, you've got this!!

The basics....White quartz counters, white shaker cabinets (lowes), SS appliances (I get from ABT great customer service), In unit laundry, refinish/stain the floors, light colored paint throughout, skim coat to make it all look new.
