They would have the mundane task of flushing every toilet, checking every cabinet door, checking every knob on every cabinet door, checking the AC filters, going through the cooking pots and pans and dinnerware to make sure everything is there.  

I am repainting the interior of the home, repainting the kitchen cabinets, changing the flooring throughout, and updating the appliances in the kitchen.

I want to get started on renovating at least one of the apartments by doing cosmetic work (paint, replace kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures, flooring, etc.).2.

I recently hired a cleaning company this week and after they examined my place after my TurnoverBnB cleaner "cleaned", they sent me pictures of dirty baseboards, dirty pots in cabinets, floor vacuumed but not mopped, etc.

I know of a foreclosure locally where the previous owner stripped cabinets, bathroom fixtures, doors, copper pipe, electrical wiring, furnace, A/C, water heater, carpet, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and anything else he could.

If there are major things not installed, I would want details on what they are supposed to be... floor, countertops, cabinets, fixtures, etc. 

I'd also recommend keeping to lighter-colored selections for the basement- you can assume it will already be darker, so lighter paint colors, lighter flooring, white cabinets, lighter counters, lighter backsplash, etc., will make it seem so much more luxurious and less like a basement.Best of luck, you've got this!! 

The basics....White quartz counters, white shaker cabinets (lowes), SS appliances (I get from ABT great customer service), In unit laundry, refinish/stain the floors, light colored paint throughout, skim coat to make it all look new.

Completion of my rehab was delayed 4 weeks due to ONE CABINET being delayed.

Other contribution includes time and labor for  minor/moderate electrical, minor plumbing, shelving/fixtures/lighting/fans, and kitchen and bath cabinet installation for the upcoming September 1 unit.
