What was left at "headquarters" in San Mateo are a few highly intelligent Senior Engineers, a bunch of marketing folks who knew nothing, middle management that knew absolutely nothing, led by MBA senior mgmt that knew nothing about software development or engineering.

Here are my comments:Pros of Property Management: Peace of mind: You don't need to worry about anything, and they take care of the tenant and property issues.Cons of Property Management: Cost: Average is 6 - 10% of monthly rentTransparency: They own the information (in their property management software) and only share what they want to share with you.

Most of my communication with them is through automatic systems (we have backed software for showings) and for offers (there is a backend system for offers) then depending on the listing, the bank responds directly to the contract and once it gets accepted, its all through the lawyers.
