I share the same mentality with respect to investing in RE - slow and steady.  

I'm looking at purchasing and renting a property to a not-for-profit agency that works with chronically homeless and mentally disabled people. 

If you think of it with that mentality, you will fail at it.

Starting out like you, Christopher, I think you have less mental pressure at USPS. 

Why pay an extra fee or point when you can do it yourself, is my mentality.

Maybe seasoned city investors see dollar signs when they see those signals, but mentally I'm not there...yet, or perhaps I just haven't found the area that's right for me.

I'm fine with that just trying to mentally prepare for everything.

Hi @Erik Drentlaw, I think I've just hit some sort of mental roadblock and/or a point where I just need to do something new.   

It's a niche' for me because most realtors have a Retail/Put a sign in the yard and hope for the best mentality.

I told him that the house had foundation issues...house is split in half from left side to right side of home because of my mentally unstable aunt who failed to water during the drought in Houston 2011.
