My understanding is that short term rentals are not permitted on this block because of zoning code. 

Anybody brazen (and stupid) enough to send something like that in writing is obviously a few cans short of a sixer. 

Only thing I would add, is you should write up a short letter to describe yourself and what you do, similiar to what you would mail them.
