I am currently a full time W2 Executive who enjoys making money through RE.

Once you become a real estate agent, you will most likely be self-employed which will make financing more difficult due to self-employment income requirements (2-years).However, I would say that there may be value to becoming a real estate agent if it's a career that you would enjoy.

I certainly am not looking for a place to sell myself as I do that all day at work, rather I would like to fill in my deficiencies with some of the brilliant people on this site and hope to share some thoughts and experiences as well.My objective going forward is to transition out of sales into a portfolio as an owner so I can spend more time building a family and enjoying life.

If things were so perfect where they were, they should have stayed.Move down here, buy your flowered shirts, and enjoy your drinks on the beach...can't beat it.

That same flexibility that they enjoy goes both ways.Just make sure that your contract stipulates ONLY a 30 day notice. 

In the meantime enjoy the low taxes while you can and put that extra money aside.
