I recieved the same email about one or two months ago.I'm not sure if its a scam or not but i didnt follow up.I'm seeking local investors in columbus ohio to maybe show me the way and continue to learn from Bigger Pockets.

As a veteran I'll say this, sounds to me like she's trying to scam you on the "training".

What a scam!

I'm not a moron, have a great filter for scams/******** (am a comp sci major after all) and would never sink any kind of money into any kind of "e-book."

There are just too many scam artists (which i consider one to be if they get paid for work they refused to complete) out there.Another thing I would do is complain to the Better Business Bureau.

My property management has another family from Nigeria (man, that must have taken a leap of faith since most scams seems to propagate from Nigeria).

The aforementioned pretenders range from simple brokers that pose as direct lenders all the way to the organized and seemingly large companies that write great looking LOI's and scam the unwary for upfront fees.

So after going through many of these investor emails, how long does it take until I find an actual private equity investor.  I am in the St. Louis area and it is funny how many scammers there are.  I managed to find a...

I have no problem paying membership dues, but I don't want to get caught up in some buying scam.

How do I go about finding a contractor (Who wont scam me) when I'm so far away?
