If you really still concerned or overwhelmed with a lot of the knowledge that comes your way because you might not be familiar, talk to a RE lawyer you trust.Basically, the more you network, the more you build rapport and the more you build trust among peers, the longer and wider the road to success will be.  

I read the Beginners Guide as well as listened to the accompanying podcast.

Don't be so concerned with A, B, or Z. :-)   With that said there are some, and I should say very few neighborhoods I would stay away from. 

Thx Rob I'm going to look into that I'm just concerned that my debt to income ratio won't allow me to qualify for another loan the bank gave me a hard time getting the loan I have now.

New roofs, windows, doors and and trim accompanied by brand new cabinets, granite, appliances, flooring and fixtures!

I think that the grade 1 security claim by kwikset and the fact that they advertize them as bump-resistant resolves my concerns that I am providing good locks for their security.I am not a lock expert but it seems like this type of lock can take away a lot of business from locksmiths (nothing against locksmiths!)

I had some concern that tenants could be put off by the experience, as it's intrusive, but we had a great inspector who introduced himself, reiterated that he wasn't there to inspect their possessions or how they live, just make sure things were in working order, and it turned out fine.

My concerns is the renting pool is small in the areas I want to invest.  

Learning and developing skills is my main concern.
