Recently I passed the CFA level 1 exam and decided to take a break and I'm spending that amount of time I would be studying for level 2 on learning everything I can about real estate investing, specifically buy and hold and renting out at this point. 

I don't like renting in apt buildings or plexes where the noise level drives me insane.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get started and reach the level you are at?

They have excellent closers  whose job is to get you to go to the next level.  

What I am saying about being too price conscious is that I see exclusionary language added to a policy, or lower coverage forms (basic vs special), or lower coverage levels, added onto clients that use price as their #1 differentiation in insurers. 

At a very simplified level, assuming we have to put 20% down for bank financing, that gives us firepower to buy properties between 150k-200k.

There are a lot more examples about buy and hold you can read about and talk to people about so that helps with the 'comfort level' for newbies, too.Yes, I am trying to do something different on my next deal.
