You'd be better off buying and renovating a multi family than trying to build.

I grew up with a dad who bought and renovated houses and have had as many conversations with him about it as I can, I've read all the REI books I can get my hands on, not scared of research and paperwork, and I'm good with my hands.

Morning BiggerPockets world.I am currently on the first R and trying to plan my renovation in a way that maximizes my appraisal ( as expected)...I have the opportunity to save about a grand on my rehab by having a used HVAC system installed. 

I have a quad and just finished renovating the inside of 3 of the units and didn't do much for the outside/front (and it definitely needs some work).

It’s home fully renovated would probably go for 130-140k he wants around 75k.

After further review of the house it’s seeming like the renovations are bigger than I expected.
