We've been counter-offering back and forth for almost 2 weeks and finally have agreement, but before the deal formally goes under contract BofA wants me to sign-off on 21 pages worth of addendums:- a 17-page Real Estate Purchase addendum- a 1-page Buyer's Acknowledgement and Disclosure- a 2-page Water Damage, Toxic Mold & Environmental Disclosure, Release and Indemnification Agreement- and a 1-page Lead-Based Paint and Lead-Based Paint Hazards Disclosure, Acknowledgement and Disclosure.I've skimmed through it and it appears to be a lot of CYA type stuff, like there's not property condition disclosure, its being sold "as-is", buyer won't hold BofA accountable if problems with property arise at a later date, etc.

While I'm on the subject - something that really irritates me is when one of my clients is trying to do something and the other business party with whom my client is working (or trying to work) is leery about something and consults their attorney (that part is great - I encourage everyone to make well informed decisions).

I'm with ya on caulk.It irritates me to see people caulking and have it every where.I also can't stand it when people use 100% silicone and stands out like a sore thumb on the outside of the building.The window/siding guys I use are very conserative on caulk.

I get irritated though when folks fault someone for selling intellectual capital- be it coaching, consulting, or seminars, whatever...as long as it is transparent what you are paying, and what you will get in return, what's the issue?
