I apologize if this is a newbie question and for the provocative title :) In David’s book Long-Distance Real Estate Investing, he says its beneficial to find an agent who is also an investor in the area.

I didn't read all the responses so I may be repeating what someone may have offered to you, so i apologize in advance.I like your thought process where you want to put your existing equity to work for you.My strategy is the BRRRR method that has been widely socialized throughout BP.

It is so much better than the news which feels like a constant barrage of negativity, panic, and impending doom.I think it's safe to say that everyone will take a financial hit of some sort, but it could be WAY worse. 

I really think that we got off on the wrong foot and I apologize for that.
