My question is, if we take a cash out refinance from one property and pay off a second property; by virtue of interest tracing rules is the interest deductible on the second property.The reason I want to do this is because it improves on the title/closing costs for the one property while still leveraging the highest value property.

I will look more into the Zillow and Furnished Finder; Airbnb has a few similar listings that are doing very well but are not subject to the 31 day minimum. 

Then a wise man who was already successful doing what I wanted to be doing shared some common sense that I took to heart: settle on ONE strategy to get started and block out all the other noise, the BS, and the well intentioned but misinformed friends and relatives telling you that you can’t do this.

Otherwise, if it qualifies, you could do a 1031 exchange.
