Just keep an eye out for anyone trying to sell you an "easy" solution.

Again, I guess I'm not looking for someone to give me a solution to this as I don't see there being one until I can find a career back home and grow a portfolio in time. 

I have to think of the easiest solution dealing with complex problems where both the parties ( buyer and seller ) feel like they get value out of a transaction.If a broker/agent is competing on " how low can you go " with commission they have not set a difference maker in their business to set themselves apart.I gladly take 3% on a 5 or 10 million deal but I provide specialized services.

Jason, if you need a creative solution, conventional residential mortgages are not the way to go.  

There's been many who've tried every different angle  but there just isn't a simple solution.
