The worst thing is a lawyer group nearby (Eviction Defense Center) that will give "free" help to tenants by filing all the necessary paperwork to obtain delays and find errors in the landlord's case. 

Check your local L/T laws, but it sounds like you have fulfilled your obligation.  

And if you can obtain non-recourse debt, it will only protect you from the lender.  

There are a few posts in the past where members have obtained low rates (LIBOR + spread) on their paper assets (stocks + bonds).This can be very attractive since the interest rates come to ~2.5%.
