My apologies if this topic has been overly discussed here - I found lots of threads about investing in large publicly traded REITs but none about small scale.  

With respects to taxes on this property (I apologize for my ignorance), do I recognize it as a primary residence for the four months we lived there and then recognize it as a rental property for the other three months, or will it always be considered a rental property from day one?

Your comments were not fair assessments, they were dismissive and somewhat contemptuous of the situation, they were... jaded... sarcastic... and a little bit mocking.Anywho - my apologies for the WAY too long response.
