Once you pass that you can take the test with the state (which is the national and state portions) and assuming you pass you'll get your card that day to hang with a brokerage.If you've been involved in real estate, a lot of the questions are just general knowledge.

Those people are great at recognizing problems (like that's hard), but not good at solving them...so I walk the other way when I hear those words, because those people are a waste of my time.All those people that tell you "it's too risky" are not worth hanging around...or at worst, asking them for any advice.

Hey @Amy Zemser, a contractor doing much of the work may not mind making a very thin profit on one or two tasks (say, insulation, painting, electrical, etc) because that contractor will make a reasonable or compensating profit on, say, laying new floors or hanging dry walls (both of which can be labor intensive and take days).
