Try to have that part figured out already.Go to meetups (virtual these days) and network with others who are like minded.Also, while there is a ton of information for free online, don't be opposed to paying for a mentor or coach, they can usually increase the amount of knowledge you will gain and decrease the amount of time it takes to absorb.

The minute that happens at all these flippers out there will start buying that inventory and put it on the market, thus creating a greater supply, as opposed to what the demand might be.

There have been multiple properties I have never seen and others I have only seen a couple of times, typically from the exterior.

As I look to put my first STR on the market, I've wondered the benefits of listing on both AirBNB and VRBO, as opposed to just 1.

Here is why:Condition, size, class of tenant, number of units (Kitchens have significant impact on maintenance/cap ex), type of exterior, flooring, etc all have a larger impact on maintenance and cap ex than rent does. 

Increase the ventilation and check for moisture thru bath fans which need to vent to the exterior or close to an opening etc.

@Matu Ambaye ARV suggests you intend to flip as opposed to holding for rental income. 

Baltimore County requires a permit and inspection for each new gas appliance you hookup as opposed to electric where you just plug it in (assuming, again the electric is already in place); no permit or inspection required.Gas in rentals, at least in Baltimore County and maybe in general, just doesn't seem to be worth it.Just some food for thought...

While I did not enjoy that much, I am not opposed to looking at that state too.
