We also have a SFH investment property in Charlotte, NC with about 11 years remaining on the mortgage (the rental income covers the monthly mortgage and the taxes.)We have some cash available and we are considering purchasing an investment property in Duck, NC (where we have been going for years on family vacations.) 

My wife is about due with our first child and we are finishing renovations to our primary residence in the mean time.

However all 3 homes we are so far considering have either an illegal ADU/unit or unpermitted rooms.

It is ALSO coupled with immigrants coming over through refugee services as we are one of a select number of "cities" elected by the powers-to-be as such.   

We are still both in the LLC and the property is named into the LLC.
