I believe It’s the most stable and predictable economy in the country.

I had a triplex property listed on RoofStock but they just informed me that, and I quote:We are ceasing operations in Iowa for the time being as we had a broker retire.

We might have to do turnkey in the beginning (we’ve been checking out Rent to Retirement) since my husbands work schedule is a little much right now. 

Her goal is to fix up the house, sell it and retire near her son in Arkansas. 

I have started thinking about investing out of state perhaps with the help of a consulting firm like Rent to Retirement.

Cash flow might be there, but problems also arise, maintenance would be higher in older buildings, tenants are often not as stable financially.  

Due to a cost seg on a storage facility last year, showing a loss on paper (six-fig accelerated depreciation), I don't qualify for Fannie/Freddie, but qualify for any other type of mortgage (stable/solid income, credit, employment, cash-flow, etc.).
