Hopefully there will be a day that I wont have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to go to work or have to tell my 9 year old son "I'm sorry baby, Mommy cant go volunteer for your field trip cause if I miss work I will lose my job"So here I am,with big ambitions and an even bigger drive to make this work.

Congrats on the marriage and have all the fun you can before that family comes along ; ) Anyway, about the rehabbing, maybe volunteer at home building places for the needy or groups that build sheds or things for the city.  

Keep yourself surrounded by those that know more than you and volunteer whatever your can to help their cause.

You see, whenever time is nice to me I volunteer at hospices and homeless nonprofit organizations.

And, even if it doesn't land you a job, you could get some experience while volunteering in your free time while keeping your current job.Oh, and the whole college thing? 

So I told him today, NO we are not going to allow him to just pay him $1400 for being a helper and on top of that he volunteered to help.

I told him that I was only interested in rental homes at this time, and was not a speculator, at which point he volunteered the land had been on the market over a year and indicated he was ready for an offer, presumably much lower.
