That hobby had a strong resemblance to what I was doing to earn a living before I became financially independent.

I believe prices will soften, as most predict, but do not see any comparisons to 2008 which resembled a pyramid scheme - any equity gained was taken out and fed back into the overinflated economy.

I read the book and I found it to be poorly written, incredibly repetitive, lacking anything resembling real advice. 

It's hard to fathom NYC not rebounding and going back to some close resemblance of its former glory, but then again the world just got turned half-way upside down and the next year or so may sufficiently turn the world fully upside down.  

This is the second post I am seeing in 3 days alluding to the notion that most advice here bears little resemblance to reality.Let's clear the air.

I almost bought in to the guru hype of a certain unnamed company that shall remain nameless where they wanted a crap ton of money and likely would not have taught anything remotely resembling the helpful information found on this website. 

It's the rare newly married couple that doesn't spend lots of time together....that resembles living together.  

Whatever it looks like, your's will resemble it 3 months after they move in.Finally, remember all landlords never seem to repair anything, or at least that is what literally EVERY SINGLE prospective tenant gives as their reason for moving.

Tenants hate carpet and will pay a premium for anything decent that resembles hardwood.
