So I saw this today in my Dallas-area newsfeed:http://dallas.culturemap.com/news/real-estate/09-0...It looks like the premise of the start-up is to fulfill the role of an agent and charge a flat fee as opposed to a 3%-6% cut of the transaction.Has anyone tried using Door before, and what was your experience like?

So you can't buy a 200k home and rent it for 1,600.. investors buy and large will skip over those as not enough cash flow.... even though you could today go into Madison MS.. and right into the neighborhood I am invested in and buy my home from me for 190k that rents for 1600.. and have a great rental.. but investors don't look for those... the bread and butter of turn key is usually the investor who wants to put that 20 to 30k down and if they have a hundred or two hundred grand liquid the want to buy 4 to 8 of them.. and that moves them squarely back into the B C class as opposed to what our new construction is which is A class.

No one is challenging that lead paint needs to be controlled and we are behind keeping properties safe and we fully agree that deadbeat landlords need to be pursued...however the law is excessive in several capacities.)I'd like to know why the existing and currently quite active Neighbor Works (blight, neglect, abandonment, disrepair violations) can't pursue properties with peeling exterior paint...immediately attacking half of the problem for the lead paint law (exterior vs interior) and I would expect 80% of the real problem landlords here in Toledo.

Those are also required to be considered bedrooms in my market, but your may have different rules, and it very well may not matter for tenants as opposed to buyers.

Hello @Allyssa Mccleery :As the others have said, insurance is one issue.Termites are another issue, but block only eliminates the issue from the exterior walls.

Our initial time frame of 6 months went in a snap and 1/2 of the landscape and exterior finishes couldn't be completed in winter so it dragged on till spring. ( we took out a in ground pool ).
