PMs are for when you're seasoned  and in the preservation phase or out of area investing or if you always plan just to have a job and up to a handful of rentals to subsidize retirement. 

I thought about holding on to it and pay it off so it is retirement income.

Be sure it still has +cash flow and you are building income streams for retirement.

Are you retired military, or did you just separate after serving several years? 

We have since bought more rentals in the area and retired there in 2017.

I do not have a 'job', I retired 8 months ago.  

Our accountant is retiring, & we need one who know about real estate investing & construction businesses. 

Bill also says (as of now) that IF a retirement account is invested in non-registered securities; you must dispose of it by dec 31st , 2023.
