If you had a single family, you would have to eat it during vacancies.

Just bite the bullet and eat the water cost and claim it against your taxes. 

If I were actively seeking people to sign up I might do that, but I'm not and could care less if anyone ever signs up because I prefer to eat lunch at home.

Would it be best to just eat the property myself then turn everything over?

Hopefully you have looked at these costs that do eat into your cash flow.  

That is really great insight .i knew yonkers and mt vernons school system was terrible,i didnt pay that much thought because my own kids wouldnt be attending in those districts.when the property around you damn near triples you get the green eyed monster and wanna chase it.i will consider a little further north.im preapproved for 525k.but not looking to spend that much by any means.

Hi Guys,To answer your questions @Alon L. yes LA does permit container homes, the city actually has a green housing program that will even give you free shipping containers.

If people are staying for longer than a week they bring more clothes, things get messier, they eat-in a lot more, etc.
