Has anyone out there invested with Sharestates?  If so, how did it go?  Is the exit strategy OK?

I am in the process of closing on a duplex and I am reviewing the home Appraisals and notice that living space square footage is 1809 sqft and not 2263 sqft as listed (454 sqft less).

Lesson learned here is start working on your investor documents immediately after you've completed the bulk of the due diligence activities including financial reviews and physical inspections.

Even in the worst-case scenario, I would Google-Maps-onestar-review the hell out of any home inspector who was too blind to see and too stupid to report what condition the driveway was in.

Review their management agreement.

The consultant needs to (1) do a site inspection and (2) review a government database search. old reports may or may not be available depending if the seller or property owner provides one.  

Up front money has to go somewhere whether it's for an appraisal or to an attorney for an entity review, but and application fee isn't one of them.Right now rates are around 9% interest only and below and points are anywhere from 3-4.Most lenders charge an underwriting fee and there may be a processing fee in there.
