Is there a middle space here?

Historically it was a working middle class black neighborhood that boasted large single family homes.

I work on a US navy base and rather than turned down, we are heavily sought after tenants because owners realize that there are several advantages to leasing to military connected people: Rents are significantly higher, tenants don't disappear in the middle of the night although the required notice is quite short as people may receive relocation orders that require them to move quickly.

Long story short, it was a not-insignificant amount of time just to find out their rates are middle-of-the-pack for a cash-out refi.

They could do the classic "shove everything to the middle", and I'd throw plastic over it, but it's more work for both them and me.Question: Is this a reasonable thing to offer at this time? 

I own about 140 properties, but I live in a commercial building built in 1904 with my wife and two children, My two kids live in offices and my wife and I have a bed in the middle of the main entrance room.

I did set down the book for a while because right now we are in the middle of a rehab project on a duplex.

I thanked her for her help, acknowledged that being the messenger sucks sometimes, and apologized that she got put into the middle of something that wasn't her fault.
