Seems to me you should be using the funding that you are promoting?

@Dakota Lowe,  I'm glad to see you promoting solar in Orlando, where I really wish that more people chose solar for their homes.

For example, at the Sumrok weekend, someone who is blatantly only there to promote their own business may be asked to leave.

I just watched the webinar and I am so leery of paying for education because there are so many who are in the RE world, especially in H-town who claim to be in the RE business and promote themselves as a guru.

@Tyler Gerhold Damn that's a long paragraph trying to say "don't smoke, eat, or grow weed in your apartment"...this is a typical situation where you use generic lease from a promotional source that is not familiar with your state.

But every time we let someone promote themselves or a product, it encourages others to do the same and it will destroy the integrity and value of the forums.

If your family decides to take that offer instead of yours, advise them to get a substantial amount of EMD, POF (make sure they verify it) and have someone look over the contract to make sure there are no 'gotchas'Is there any way you can make your offer more enticing to your family?

My last comment is that if I were you I would hold off a while before you buy that truck even though I know it is enticing.
